The Courage to Go.

It does not matter who you are or where you come from, we all have experienced hard times in one form or another, and we know that the future could potentially hold such times.

I have a friend who is about to go on an epic journey. One that will span continents. Opportunities await. Opportunities for a Fresh Start. A chance for greatness.

I gave her some advice: Stop dreaming. Start living. Stop looking back at mistakes and look forward for opportunities.

Then I posed a Question.

What is the meaning of life? Why are you here?

Which I, of course, answered myself.

To see, to explore and to make a difference.
Every day.

Music is only one of the many ways in which we reflect and process when we are faced with a challenge. It is one of the strongest motivators for me personally. I think music can express  a theme of the human spirit to over come challenges, realize dreams, stand up to foes; to love and inspire.

Good luck my friend. Godspeed.

One Response to The Courage to Go.

  1. Joseph Toshach says:

Makes me think of “Watershed,” by The Indigo Girls:
“Up on the watershed, standing at the fork in the road
You can stand there and agonize
Till your agony’s your heaviest load.
You’ll never fly as the crow flies, get used to a country mile.
When you’re learning to face the path at your pace
Every choice is worth your while.”
